With the arrival of Spring and spring showers, we have been tasked to welcome change, since in what seems like an instant, things can shift again and again.
Spring invites us to emerge and expand just as nature does.
It’s a time to clear what feels stagnant, reconnect with intention, and nurture what’s ready to bloom within us.
A few simple ways to practice this:
• Spend time outdoors and soak in the longer days
• Declutter space and refresh your environment
• Revisit intentions or bring in new ones
• Nourish your body with lighter, seasonal foods (I made a list of spring foods by taste for you)
• Move gently: walk, stretch, or simply breathe in fresh air
Or perhaps, have a gentle cleanse with congee, kitchari, or another mono-diet {custom reset support here}.
A meaningful milestone
I am also celebrating a meaningful milestone; in July, it will be 5 years since moving back to Southern California. 5 years since my last chronic eczema breakout.
It’s been five years of integrating the wisdom I dedicated myself to when COVID hit, five years witnessing my own transformation alongside 800+ others I have supported on their healing journey, and welcoming new friends who feel this call along the way too.
I opened with a picture with my mom because if I'm being honest about really helped me heal - it wasn't just the herbs or the food or the protocols. It was coming home.
Back to Southern California. Back to my family. Back to the thread of something generational that I hadn't fully allowed myself to receive before.
Healing doesn't always look like doing more. Sometimes it looks like returning.
In honor of this milestone, I am excited to share that I will be co-hosting a yoga-āyurveda-water adventures retreat in Bali, Indonesia - for when I visited there 3 years ago, I was 1 year into great healing and became a Svastha Acharya.
AND FAMILIES ARE WELCOME - MAMA IS COMING!
For this is a great part of the medicine.
This offering is being created with Sumberkima Hill and a friend with whom I did my first yoga teacher training in New York.
The retreat is called Whole You - and it is open to women, couples, families, and solo travelers alike.
We intend to nourish all aspects that make you you. The strong, the rested, the curious, the centered, the beautiful, the challenging. Whoever you are bringing to Bali - bring all of them.
The week includes:
- Freediving, snorkeling & water therapy
- Art therapy - daily, for all ages
- Āyurvedic workshops & 1:1 consultations
- Daily yoga - morning flow & evening restore (optional)
- Deer Island boat trip - a small paradise where deer migrate to the shoreline
- Balinese temple visit & cultural ceremony
- Balinese cooking class (meals included throughout the week)
- Traditional Balinese massage
- Coral planting & ocean conservation
- Valley hikes through northwest Bali
- Sauna & ice bath
- And more surprises along the way
10% of the proceeds from this retreat are directed to the Bali Caring Community.
BCC is a grassroots, Balinese-owned and run, non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization serving families in need, including to the villages of North West Bali, Pemuteran.
Whether you will be joining us or simply moving through your own seasonal transition, we hope this time brings a sense of wholeness, clarity, and renewal.
